As my first Medium post, I have decided to share a book review I wrote but did not publish on Joel Richard Paul’s recent John Marshall monograph, “Without Precedent.” My sense is that most have praised this book, given that it has a strong narrative and continues the hagiography of Marshall as the great Chief Justice, here expanding Marshall’s role to that of key Founding Father. ![]()
